I am a versatile freelance filmmaker based in Lagos, Nigeria, armed with a BA in Theatre Arts and seven years of professional experience in various roles within the industry. My multifaceted career includes roles as Script Supervisor, Assistant Director, and Script Writer, providing me with a unique perspective and skill set that spans both creative, production and data generation aspects of filmmaking.

As a Script Supervisor, my meticulous approach involves script breakdowns to estimate run times and story days, ensuring continuity across all aspects of production. I meticulously track and document shots, offer director’s notes for the editor, and generate essential data like log sheets and lined scripts for post-production efficiency.

In my role as an Assistant Director, I bridge the gap between the director’s vision and the practical aspects of production. I collaborate with producers to strike a balance between creative goals and budget constraints. I oversee the execution of the director’s shot list, supervise the AD team in creating call sheets, and maintain daily progress reports. Managing the set and off-set activities is all part of my responsibility, ensuring a smooth production process.

I embarked on my journey in filmmaking working with passionate but resource-constrained young filmmakers, honing my skills and ability to wear many hats. My career growth has been nurtured through hands-on experience, continuous learning, and participation in workshops and training. I’ve had the privilege of contributing to some successful film productions in Nigeria. And giving back to the Nigerian film community by facilitating trainings for young film makers who are interested in script supervising.

I employ various software tools, including Movie Magic Scheduling, Studio Binder, Final Draft, and Celtx for scheduling and screenwriting. For seamless communication and document sharing, I rely on Google Docs. I possess a basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and a fundamental grasp of Blender and Maya animation modeling interfaces.

My commitment to working within budgets and timelines is unwavering. I firmly believe in the importance of efficient planning and execution, particularly when serving as an Assistant Director. Wastage of time translates to wastage of money, and I take this aspect of filmmaking seriously.

My strong suit lies in diplomacy and interpersonal communication, skills I’ve cultivated over years of working closely with various departments and actors. I am a team player, valuing collaboration and the shared experience of creating cinematic magic.

The essence of filmmaking, for me, lies in the people and the process. I relish the opportunity to meet new creatives, learn new methods, and contribute my expertise to the collaborative endeavour of filmmaking.

Let’s create something remarkable together!
